Arnold & Callaway welcome public to Christmas events tonight

Christmas season fun for the family continues tonight in the communities of Arnold and Callaway. Each town is inviting the public to a great schedule of Christmas activities. Arnold’s Christmas Around Town will take place from 5 until 7 PM. Callaway’s Old-Fashioned Christmas is scheduled from 4 until 8 PM. (Full schedule graphics at the end of this story)

Activities in Arnold include a visit from Santa and his Elves, who will be at Koubek Gardens until 7 PM. A hayrack ride on main street will take riders through the community to enjoy Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music.

Arnold businesses will have shopping opportunities for visitors including specials, drawings, treats, and even some extended hours. Purchased gifts can be taken right to Central Nebraska Interact, who will be set up doing gift wrapping for a free will donation in the Hotel Custer lobby.

Vendors will be set up at Hotel Custer as well as the Rialto Theatre and A-Z Ventures. Dining options will be available at local eateries. The 2025 Arnold Area Historical Museum calendar will be available for sale tonight, featuring aerial farm photos.

Callaway’s Old-Fashioned Christmas will have joy popping up across town with activities, treats, and drawings. Santa will be at the mini park by the library from 4:30 PM until dark, and s’mores will be roasting at the fire pit. Fahnholz wagon rides will be happening from 5 until 7 PM as well.

The Callaway Community Center will be site of a soup supper sponsored by Sons of the American Legion starting at 5PM, alongside a craft and home-based business show from 4 PM until 8 PM. Gift wrapping will also be on-site as an after prom fundraiser.

Throughout Callaway, various retail storefronts will have open houses and sales promotions including apple cider, cookies, and hot chocolate. Weekly drawings for chamber bucks and five turkeys are also underway for the month.
