Area youth were among those competing at the 2025 Nebraska State Pedal Tractor Pull Championships this past Sunday (August 31). Three pullers representing Custer County took home some hardware and qualified for the National Pedal Pull by placing in the top four of their age divisions.
Gus Goodner of Arnold took home the 3rd place trophy competing in the four-year-old boys division, punching his ticket for his first trip to national level competition. He is the son of Ben and Tiffinie Goodner.
Saylor Foley of Merna took the top spot in the eight-year-old girls division, securing a spot at her fourth trip to Nationals. She is the daughter of Shane and Tiffany Foley.
Kinsley Tucker of Callaway was handed the 3rd place trophy in the nine-year-old girls division for her efforts, achieving a trip to Nationals for the second time. She is the daughter of Preston and Alicia Tucker.
The Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota is home to the National Pedal Tractor Pull, which is scheduled for September 27.
