Area students among those recognized at FCCLA State Leadership Conference

Area students, adult advisers, and guests were among more than 1,000 Nebraska Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America attendees for the annual State Leadership Conference earlier this month.

Students had the opportunity to participate in listening to a keynote speaker, learning breakout sessions, community FCCLA Serves projects at the Lincoln Children’s Museum and Food Bank of Lincoln, a variety of tours, on-site service projects, and more.

Over 570 students participated in STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events, FCCLA’s premier competitive event program. Those who placed first or second qualified to compete in the FCCLA National STAR event competition, which takes place in Seattle Washington June 29 to July 3.
