Lincoln, Neb. – EducationQuest Foundation has awarded 86 Nebraska schools with 8th-Grade Campus Visit Grants totaling nearly $56,000. Among them are schools in Burwell, Callaway, Dunning, Gothenburg, Mullen and Sumner.
Schools will use grant funds of up to $1,350 to support college visits and related activities that enhance student preparation for college throughout the 2025-26 academic year.
EducationQuest Vice President Eric Drumheller said, “By introducing students to college campuses in middle school, we help spark curiosity, build confidence, and normalize the idea that higher education is within reach. These visits plant seeds of opportunity that shape students’ futures — and the future of Nebraska communities.”
The 8th-Grade Campus Visit Grants, awarded annually, are one of several programs EducationQuest provides to fulfill its mission of improving access to higher education in Nebraska.
Since the grant program’s inception in 2011, EducationQuest has awarded more than $485,000 in 8th Grade Campus Visit Grant funding to 254 schools in Nebraska.
