Area schools providing summer meals through Department of Education

LINCOLN – Schools across Custer County art once again participating in the Nebraska Department of Education’s summer meals program.

Free meals, according to the department, will be available to all children ages 1 to 18. Meals are made possible through the Summer Food Service Program, a USDA program.

The KCNI/KBBN listening area has 5 participating school districts: Broken Bow, Callaway, Cozad, Ord, and Overton.

All 5 schools will be serving lunch; Cozad, Callaway, and Overton will serve breakfast as well. Specific dates, times, and addresses for the meals can be found below.
