Several students from the area have been recognized for their artwork as a part of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Several had the opportunity to have their pieces on display at the Omaha Public Schools TAC building to sit amongst some of the other finest artwork in Nebraska.
Students from Litchfield and Sumner-Eddyville-Miller have been recognized by the organization, which celebrates creative teens regionally and nationally with awards, exhibitions, publications, and scholarships. Those who received gold key awards are automatically considered for national awards including Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and scholarship awards.
Professional judges are instructed to look for works that exemplify the Awards’ core values: originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision.
