Applications being accepted for Nebraska Youth Range Camp

Applications are being accepted through May 31 for the 2026 Nebraska Youth Range Camp, being held June 8 to 11 in Curtis, Nebraska. Held at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, students age 14-18 with an interest in rangeland management, conservation, ecology, animal science, and wildlife are encouraged to attend.

Organizers are confident that with over 60 years of work put into the curriculum, every student will learn a considerable amount no matter what prior experience they have. Students will get hands-on experience with rangeland and natural resources taught by professionals from various agencies, colleges, and universities.

Field activities, lectures, leadership/teambuilding activities, and a field trip to a local working ranch are all part of the schedule. Each will be tied to illustrated goals and the related range management implemented to achieve them.

For more information, an application, or a brochure, those interested can visit NESRM.org and click on the Nebraska Youth Range Camp link. Emails can be sent to Tevyn Pieper at [email protected]. Local Natural Resource Districts (NRDs) may have scholarships available.
