ANSLEY – Giving blood is one of the most generous donations one can offer, and you are invited to do so at the Ansley Community Center on December 29 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
According to the American Red Cross, for whole blood donation: donations are every 56 days, up to six times a year, must be in good health, and must be at least 16 years of age and at least 110 pounds.
For power red donation; donations are every 112 days up to three times a year, must be in good health and male donors must be at least 17 years of age, at least 5’1″, and weigh 130 pounds. Female donors must be at least 19 years of age, at least 5’3″ and weigh at least 150 pounds.
Platelet donation frequency is every seven days up to 24 times a year, you must be in good health and at least 17 years of age and you must weigh 110 pounds.
AB Elite Plasma donation frequency is every 28 days up to 13 times a year, you must have AB blood and be in good health, be 17 years of age, and at least 110 pounds.
