The Nebraska State Pedal Pull took place this past Saturday at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island.
Among more than 840 competitors was Anselmo-Merna first grader Saylor Foley. Competing in a competition category that held 61 fellow six year old girls, Foley placed first qualifying her for a trip to the National Pedal Pull on September 23 at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Foley improved on her placement from 2022, where she came in 4th in her division.
