BROKEN BOW – The Ag Society held their monthly meeting in the Board of Supervisors room in the Custer County Courthouse Tuesday night.
The board approved the November 9, 2023, regular board meeting minutes, approved paying monthly bills and heard committee reports from the extension office, the grounds manager, and the Winter Ball committee.
The 8th Annual Winter Ball is scheduled for January 27, 2024, at the One Box Convention Center in Broken Bow with a social hour and silent auction starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $45, and tables, which seat 10 are $400. Tim Zach will be playing and you are invited to dance along from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
The board approved the 2023 officers which include President Casey Cooksley, Vice President Rodney Lamb, Treasurer Ashely Garrelts, and Secretary Blair Hartman.
The Fair Managers Convention is January 19-21 in Kearney.
The board discussed a Design and Build Bid for buildings 7 & 8.
The Arthur County Ag Society was inquiring about the grey stalls and the board approved a motion after a lengthy discussion to sell Arthur County 10 stalls at $80 a side and will be accepting a split payment.
The talk about purchasing a floor cleaner for building 18 was tabled so the members could get more information and quotes on floor cleaners.
