BROKEN BOW–A unique hunting adventure is taking place November 3-6, 2022 as part of the 62nd annual Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt. The yearly festivities support the One Box Gun Club, youth shooting, scholarships & habitat programs.
“It’s such a great event to get associated with and participate in just where the funds go to, the history, and what it brings to our community is outstanding,” Nicole Johnk said on the KCNI/KBBN Get Up and Go Breakfast Show.
Sportsmen and their families travel from all over the world to participate in the hunting events and social activities.
Teams consist of five members, two guides, a judge and dog handler. Each team is given one box of 25 shells which are divided among team members. Hunting begins at sunrise and ends at 4 p.m.
The Ladies Nebraska One Box Board has also assisted the men with the organization and promotion of the Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt. The One Box Ladies Board provides entertainment on Friday and Saturday for guests in attendance. Proceeds from the Ladies One Box activities, raffles, and silent auction items benefit the funding of One Box Scholarship Programs for area youth.
