2023 Nebraska Passport Program Now Accepting Applications

BROKEN BOW – Nebraska Tourism is now accepting applications for businesses to join the 2023 Nebraska Passport program.

The 2023 program will run from May 1 until September 30; any Nebraska destination is welcome to apply. Previous area destinations have included Chapin’s in Broken Bow, Grazer’s Bar & Grill in Arnold, and Victoria Springs State Recreation Area in Anselmo.

Last year, a total of 1,322 travelers visited every stop on the program, a number that has steadily grown since 2019 (914). The goal of the program is to help locals and out-of-staters alike discover Nebraska’s not-so-common destinations.

Some of the participation requirements are the ability to offer visitors an exceptional and unique experience, regular, reasonable, consistent hours (including at least one weekend day), unwavering hours throughout the passport season, and willingness to be a good tourism ambassador: to communicate with visitors about the program and nearby attractions and destinations.

There is no charge to participate in the program; it is funded through Nebraska Tourism, whose mission is to expand Nebraska’s dynamic and diverse travel industry, according to its website. Stops are chosen through an application process, available here.
