2022 Association of Nebraska Art Clubs Conference to Take Place in Broken Bow

The Association of Nebraska Art Clubs (ANAC) will hold its annual conference in Broken Bow.  This is the association’s 57th conference and marks the first time the event has been held in Broken Bow.  Grand Island was the host city for the first conference held in 1965.

The conference is scheduled for June 8th – 11th with a majority of the conference activities to take place at the Mid Plains Community College – Custer Campus in Broken Bow.  The college will house a display of approximately 300 pieces of art and host some of the conference workshops as well.  The Sandhills Journey National Scenic Byway Visitor Center (The Red Barn) and the Wild Rose Gallery will host receptions on the opening day of the conference.  The Broken Bow Public Library will host the awards banquet on Friday June 10th.  Mary Binford Miller of Liberal, KS will judge the artwork for “Best of Show” and other awards.  Miller will also conduct a three-day oil painting workshop.

For more information on the conference and workshops, the public is directed to the ANAC website http://nebraskaartclubs.org.  The exhibit of conference entries will be on display in the shop area of Mid Plains Community College – Custer Campus.  Exhibit hours will be Thursday (June 9th) and Friday (June 10th) from 8-5 and on Saturday (June 11th) from 8-3.

Fremont will be the host city of the 2023 ANAC conference.
