Nebraska Attends First Big 10 Volleyball Media Days

The inaugural Big Ten volleyball media days were held Monday and Tuesday in Chicago.  The Nebraska volleyball team was featured in Monday’s session.  The Huskers were represented by layers Madi Kubick and Kenzie Knuckles along with head coach John Cook.  Nebraska finished as the national runner-up last season falling in the national championship match to fellow Big Ten member Wisconsin in a dramatic five set match.  Madi Kubick talked about last year’s finish to the season and the motivation it creates coming into this season.

 

Nebraska will welcome in another highly ranked and recruited class of freshmen this season.  Coach Cook as asked about the readiness of freshmen to immediately contribute compared to years past.

 

Nebraska begins practice on Monday (8/8) and will host its annual red/white scrimmage on August 20th at the Devaney Center in Lincoln.  The Huskers open the season August 26th when they host Texas A&M Corpus Christi as part of the Ameritas Players Challenge in Lincoln.
