Frost Talks Spring Practice Progress (3/24)

Nebraska head football coach Scott Frost visited with the media following Thursday’s spring practice about the progress that is being made this spring.  He said that he has been pleased with the leadership shown so far.  “I am happy with the leadership right now,” he said. “When it is a team-run team it is more powerful then when it is just coaches holding everybody accountable. We had pretty good leadership on defense last year. We had some leaders on offense but they were not really vocal and that has kind of changed. I am pleased with the standard being set.”

Frost announced during his press conference that receiver Zavier Betts is “not a member of the team right now”.  He did not give specifics.  As far as the rest of the receivers go, Frost said he has been very pleased with that group.

Nebraska offensive line coach Donovan Raiola also visited with the media following Thursday’s spring practice.  Raiola said he has been pleased with the leadership that has been shown.

The Huskers will continue their spring practice on Monday. The annual red-white spring game is set for April, 9 at 1 p.m. (CT).  The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM.
