SYRACUSE – Academy of Country Music Award nominees Blackhawk will headline the Germanfest concert in Syracuse this summer.
The Syracuse Area Chamber of Commerce announced the 1990’s country band – known for their top five hits “Goodbye Says It All,” ‘Every Once in a While” and “Almost a Memory Now” – will perform at the sports complex at 28th and J Road on July 13.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Opening for Blackhawk will be Lucas Minor at 6:30 p.m. Blackhawk is expected to take the stage around 8 p.m.

This is the second consecutive year the festival has featured a headlining concert. Aaron Watson performed at last summer’s event.
This year’s Germanfest celebration will also feature a parade, “viener” dog races, a car show, ribfest and a 5K run and walk.
Syracuse is located one hour south of Omaha and 30 miles east of Lincoln.
