The Broken Bow girls golf team competed at the Southwest Conference girls golf championships played at the Cozad Country Club and golf course on Tuesday. Broken Bow finished fourth in the team standings with a 414 team score. Cozad claimed the team championship with a 385 team score and Holdrege was just two shots behind in second.
Broken Bow was led by Caylee Cook who received 2nd team all-conference honors. Cook finished with a round of 95 which was tied for fifth best on the day but after the scorecard tie-break Cook would place 6th. Emersyn Palmer of Broken Bow finished with a round of 105 which put her in a three-way tie for 14th. After the scorecard tie-break, Palmer finished just outside the top 15 placing 16th. Tiana Hurlburt finished with a round of 106 to place 17th and Adelyn Kirkpatrick finished with a round of 108 to place 20th. Rounding out the Broken Bow scoring, Hallie Meyer finished with a round of 113 and Brinlee Chaplin shot a 158.
The SWC individual champion was Macy Jorgensen of Minden who finished with a 4 under par 67 to win the tournament by 16 strokes.
