The Broken Bow BD Leadership Team served delicious barbecued ribeye steaks this past Friday for Stephanie Anderson who was honored along with a friend of her choice, Pam Marten, both long time employees at BD.
The noon dinner was all about BD’s continued focus on plant safety. Plant Manager Cindy Duncan told KCNI/KBBN News that Stephanie and many other employees recently participated in a private safety survey to gain input and thoughts on what their engagement is on safety while working at the plant. Those who participated were not asked to sign the survey but their names were thrown into the hat for a chance to win a special dinner.
Stephanie’s name was drawn and much to her surprise the prize was much more than expected. Anderson said she thought she might win some steaks, but discovered when she entered the room that she would be honored with a full meal and be joined at the table by the Leadership Team. In addition, Stephanie was awarded the afternoon off.
In November, Stephanie will have been employed at BD for 22 years. In addition she is part of Anderson Auto Tech, owned and operated by her husband Dave and son Jordan. Stephanie said she is also proud of their son Jacob, as well as all of her family members. Stephanie has lived in Broken Bow all of her life and noted it is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Cindy Duncan said the lunch was all about celebrating Stephanie who is an excellent example of employees who are willing to provide feedback concerning Becton Dickinson’s daily operations.
