Area athletes competed at the Ravenna Cross Country Invitational on Thursday. South Loup was the girls team runner-up behind team champion Amherst. South Loup placed three runners in the top 20. Jade Bierman was sixth (23.:42.9), Chloe Coleman was twelfth (25:18.7), and Delanie Weinman was 19th (25:53.9). Shylee Gonzales of Sandhills/Thedford was the girls individual champion with a winning time of 22:18.1. Other area highlights included Ady Hampton of Mullen fifth (23:41.3) and Bayler Clay of Ansley/Litchfield finished in the top 25 placing 22nd (26:17.4). For full girls results click here.

On the boys side, Doniphan-Trumbull was the boys team champion followed by Kearney Catholic in second. The boys individual champion was Kaser Johnson of Doniphan-Trumbull in a winning time of 16:39.1. Among the area highlights, Dutch Miller of Arcadia/Loup City placed in the top five finishing third (17:50.9). Braylon Kuncl of Mullen placed in the top ten finishing seventh (19:11.9).
