Broken Bow hosted its annual cross country meet Saturday at the Broken Bow golf course. Gothenburg won the girls team championship followed by Ord in second and South Loup was third. Gothenburg also claimed the boys team championship followed by Ord in second and Cozad was third. Broken Bow finished fifth in the boys team standings. The girls individual champion was Scout Bell of Gothenburg in a winning time of 19:12.1. Coltan Ham of North Platte St. Pat’s was the boys individual champion in a winning time of 16:09.6.

Among the area highlights, Dutch Miller of Arcadia/Loup City finished in the top five of the boys race placing fourth in a time of 16:34.4. Emmett Palmer of Broken Bow and Walter Bierman of South Loup each placed in the top 15. Palmer was 14th (18:27.9) and Bierman was 15th (18:33.7). Others from the KCNI/KBBN coverage area in the top 25 were Gabe Winter of Broken Bow 21st (19:01.9) and Carter Schmidt of Arcadia/Loup City was 25th (19:24.9). For full boys results click here.
In the girls race, Shylee Gonzales of Sandhills/Thedford finished in the top five placing fourth in a time of 20:45.3. Broken Bow’s Ashlyn Schauda had a top ten finish placing 8th (21:47.5). South Loup placed three runners in the top 25. Jade Bierman was 11th (21:55.9), Chloe Coleman was 22nd (23:31.9), and Delanie Weinman was 25th (23:40.3). For full girls results click here.
