Gail Zoerb age 87, formerly of Mason City, NE passed away on September 10, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society – St. Luke’s in Kearney, NE.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Mason City Baptist Church in Mason City, NE. Graveside service will be held at approximately 1:30 PM at the Waldheim Cemetery Northwest of Callaway, NE. Memorials are suggested to the Mason City Baptist Church. A visitation and time to greet the family will be held on Tuesday, September 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Mason City Baptist Church. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Naomi “Gail” Zoerb was born on January 26, 1939, in Smithfield, NE to Verle and Naomi (Brand) Francis. Gail graduated from Lincoln High School.
On June 23, 1957, Gail married Gary Zoerb. To this union three boys were born. Gary Dean, Dale Gene, and Dan Ray.
Gail milked cows and had a home delivery Milk route. She worked as the Clerk for the Village of Mason City for 30 plus years, also did mowing and maintenance work for the Village, while also working at Becton Dickinson, later retiring from both.
Gail enjoyed making candles, embroidering quilts for every grandchild, and collecting Hallmark ornaments. Christmas was her favorite holiday, putting up her Christmas Tree in July. Gail loved decorating, baking, and having an Open House Coffee for everyone in town.
Gail would travel to Arkansas to visit her mother and would always take a grandchild with her.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary, son Dan Ray, sister Brenda Brychta, and infant brother Dennis Francis and brother Doyle Francis.
Gail is survived by sons Dean (Julie) of Minden and Dale (Linda) of Litchfield, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, brother Dave (Debbie) Francis of Tucson, Arizona, and a brother-in-law David Brychta of Kansas.
