High School Football Scores 9/4

The Broken Bow Indians collected its first win of the season Friday with a 28-0 win over Ogallala on the road. The Broken Bow defense set the tone early forcing a missed field goal after Ogallala moved to inside the Broken Bow ten yard line. Broken Bow then put together an 80 yard touchdown drive with Zach Jackson scoring on a 16 yard touchdown run to put Bow up 7-0. The score stayed that way until the opening play of the fourth quarter when Zach Jackson scored his second rushing touchdown of the night to Broken Bow up 14-0. Following a blocked punt. Broken Bow quickly scored again with Jackson scoring from 9 yards out for his third touchdown of the night. Broken Bow continued its dominance in the fourth quarter when Cole Helleberg scored on a 9 yard touchdown run with 4:53 left in the game to seal the victory. The Broken Bow defense produced three takeaways with interceptions by Zach Jackson, Adrian Gibbons, and Cooper White. Broken Bow improves to 1-1 on the season and will return home to face Chadron next Friday. Chadron is 2-0 after rolling over Torrington, WY 54-21.
