The Nebraska High School rodeo fall season continued this past weekend with two performances at Lexington.
Among the area highlights from Saturday’s rodeo, Kelstyn Lindner of Broken Bow finished third overall in the boys all around standings on Saturday. Lindner won the Bareback competition with the lone qualified ride of the day with a score of 60 and was runner up in the bull riding on Saturday with a 60 point ride. Brynne McCully of Mullen placed fifth in the girls all around standings on Saturday. McCully placed third in the pole bending with a time of 21.21 seconds and teamed up with Caleb Clark of Thedford to place third in the team roping with a time of 12.61. Other’s from the KCNI/KBBN coverage area placing in the top three of their event included Kallan Cox of Purdum finishing third in the barrels with a time of 17.925 seconds.
Among the area highlights from Sunday’s rodeo, Broken Bow’s Kelstyn Lindner won the bareback riding with a 66 point ride and Cotter Johnston of Stapleton won the steer wrestling on Sunday with a winning time of 4.57 seconds. Kallan Cox of Purdum was runner up in the barrels in a time of 17.691 seconds.
