ARCADIA, Neb.— An Arnold teenager was transported in very serious condition following a Sunday afternoon accident, according to Valley County Sheriff Dave Scheideler.
Responders were paged to a location 2 1/2 miles West of Arcadia at 3:15 Sunday afternoon, where a head on collision had occurred on Highway 70 between a 3/4 ton Dodge pickup and a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer.
Sheriff Scheideler said the investigation determined that the Blazer, driven by Riata Remund, age 19 of Arnold, was traveling westbound when it drifted into oncoming traffic colliding with the Dodge driven by Joshua Hougnon of Denver, CO.
Houghnon was transported to the Valley County Hospital where he was treated and released. Remund was flown to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney with very serious injuries.
