Alcohol compliance checks held in Custer County

Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have conducted alcohol compliance checks in Custer County.

During the afternoon hours of July 30, investigators conducted compliance checks at ten businesses in Custer County. Two of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 80 percent. The two businesses that sold alcohol to a minor did not check the minor’s ID.

Businesses that sell alcohol to a minor are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.

The businesses included convenience stress, restaurants, grocery stores, and liquor stores.
