The Sandhills Open Road Challenge continues tomorrow.
Tomorrow, August 7, brings the One Mile Shootout Race on the Cozad-Callaway Road. It all starts with breakfast at the shootout location at 6:30 a.m. Then the road will close at 7:30 a.m. The One Mile Shootout will begin at 8 a.m. Watch online with sandhillsexpress.com/live or listen on KBBN 95.3. Spectator seating is provided 12 miles North of Cozad on Road 421 or 1 mile west of Callaway and 16 miles south on Cozad Callaway Road.
At noon, there will be lunch provided by the Callaway Chamber of Commerce in the Callaway Community Center. The parade and car show will begin at 2:30 p.m. on South Haskell Street and will continue around the park. The car show will be in downtown Arnold, followed by the drag races and burnout contest at 3:30 p.m.
The final event of the day will be Chicken Noodle Supper provided by St. Agnes Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. in the Arnold Community Center. The supper will go on until they run out of food.
