Broken Bow City Council will meet tonight at the Municipal Building on South 10th Avenue starting at 6 PM. The meeting is open to the public.
Following the consent agenda, which includes approval of the Broken Bow Ambulance Service official roster alongside the treasurer’s report, bills as posted, and minutes, discussion will continue regarding electric recreational vehicles.
More readings of the current ordinance draft are to be had, as each council meeting throughout the process has brought more insight and opinions from those who step forward to speak on the subject.

The City Council packet for tonight’s meeting includes both the full ordinance and a summary that sets key definitions, where the bikes, scooters, and hoverboards can and cannot be ridden, safety must-follows, and penalties.
The current draft of the ordinance allows riding on roadways (following traffic laws) and sidewalks outside of the business district (yielding to pedestrians). Sidewalks in the business district area as well as the city square, parks, playgrounds, fields, and trails are prohibited areas.
Penalties range from a ten dollar fine to a $500 fine and possible impound of the vehicle.
Council will also set the date and time for the budget workshop at tonight’s meeting.
