Bow Seniors Hold Off Holdrege for 8th Win of the Season

The Broken Bow American Legion juniors and seniors baseball teams traveled to Holdrege for a doubleheader Thursday night.

The Bow seniors collected their 8th win of the season by holding off Holdrege 14-6 in five innings.  The teams combined for eleven runs in the first inning.  After scoring seven runs in their first at bat, Broken Bow continued to score adding four runs in the second, a run in the third, a run in the fourth, and another run in the fifth.  After scoring four runs in the first inning, Holdrege was held to just two runs for the remainder of the game.  Broken Bow pounded out 13 hits in the game led by Aiden Page who was 4 for 4 with two doubles, a run scored and two runs batted in.  Jackson Hall was 2 for 4 with a run scored and two RBI.  Drew Ellis drove in a run and finished 2 for 4 and Caenyn Priest also had a multi-hit game finishing 2 for 3 with three runs scored and one run batted in.  It’s the third win in a row for the Bow seniors who improve to 8-6 on the season.

In the juniors game, Holdrege picked up the win by a score of 12-0.  Broken Bow finished with five hits in the game led by Queston Young who was 2 for 2 at the plate.
