The Sandhills Cattle Association is encouraging attendance to their 87th Annual scholarship gala, which is set for this Friday (May 29) at the One Box Convention Center in Broken Bow. Pre-registration is encouraged as soon as possible, but tickets will be available at the door for $45.
Executive Director Kami Freeman told KCNI/KBBN the scholarship gala is the organization’s annual effort to fund $8,000 worth of scholarships available to students. She said that herself and the association’s staff and board are thrilled about the variety of items that will be on the live and silent auctions.
Pictures of auction items available during the gala can be seen on the Sandhills Cattle Association’s Facebook page. A gun raffle is also being held during the event.
After a cocktail hour and silent auction at 4:30 PM and a steak dinner at 6 PM, a short annual membership meeting will be held before speaker Corbitt Wall talks to those in attendance. Scholarship wards are tabbed for 7 PM, ahead of the live auction and entertainment from local Nashville recording artist BJ Jamison.
