Chemigation permit renewal deadline is June 1 with LLNRD

The deadline for chemigation permit renewal from the Lower Loup Natural Resources District (LLNRD) is less than a week away on June 1 for ag producers planning to apply fertilizer or other chemicals to crops.

Each renewal application submitted comes with a $30 permit renewal fee, while new permit applications require a $100 fee and an inspection by an LLNRD technician. (Applications received after June 1 will be treated as new applications)

Both new and renewal permits expire the June after the year they were issued, so those issued in 2025 will expire next week on June 1, 2026.

Emergency permits are available for $500 and expire after 45 days.

Applications can be picked up at the LLNRD Headquarters in Ord at 2620 Airport Drive. They are also available at Natural Resources Conservation Service offices and online at LLNRD.org.

Those with questions can call LLNRD at 308-728-3221.
