On Thursday, May 21, the Broken Bow American Legion and Veterans of Foreign of Wars (VFW) will place flags in the Broken Bow Cemetery for Memorial Day.
At 5:30 Thursday evening, the public is invited to help place American flags on the grave sites of veterans in the Broken Bow cemetery. Dell Moninger from the VFW says that they place 750 flags.
“It is open to the public. We definitely encourage the extra help. It takes a lot of people to pull that off. I put out in the ballpark 750 flags on Veterans Grave. The more the merrier,” stated Moninger.
The Broken Bow Memorial Day service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the cemetery. If there is rain, the service will be moved to the Veteran’s building. Veteran Matt Denson will be the guest speaker.
Flags will be picked up on Tuesday.
