Danny Strawder age 77 of Burwell, NE, formerly of Merna, NE passed away April 28, 2026, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell, NE.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE. Online words of remembrance or condolence may be left at govierbrothers.com
Danny K. Strawder was born on December 12, 1948, in Denver, Colorado to Merle Ambrose and Lila Pearl (Delinger) Strawder. Danny enlisted on September 9, 1968, in the Army, where he served until March 22, 1969.
On June 22, 1990, Danny was united in marriage to Karen Mycue in Milaca, MN. The couple lived in Scottsbluff, NE before moving to Merna in 1998. Then in August of 2024, they moved to Off Boardway, then to Burwell, NE in May of 2025.
Danny was preceded in death by his wife Karen, parents Merle and Lila.
Danny is survived by daughter Connie (Randy) Gifford, son Jim Strawder, and grandchildren.
