Area Track Recap – 4/2

Broken Bow and Mullen were among the teams that competed at the Buffalo Bill Track Invite in North Platte on Thursday.  Among the area highlights, Broken Bow placed third in the girls 4×800 meter relay and Mullen finished fifth in the event.  Broken Bow was third in the girls 4×400 meter relay and Mullen was sixth.  Mullen placed 3rd in the boys 4×400 meter relay and Broken Bow placed fifth.  Aliyah Myer of Broken Bow placed third in the girls 400.  Gunner Baltz and Drew Ellis of Broken Bow finished third and fourth respectively in the boys discus.

Other top six finishes for Broken Bow included Bailey Faltys 4th in the girls triple jump and 5th in the long jump.  Kale Kulhanek placed fourth in the boys 400.  Halle Quinn placed fourth in the girls 800.  Charlee Myers placed fourth in the girls pole vault.  Cooper White finished 6th in the boys 300 meter hurdles.  Ashlyn Schauda was  sixth in the girls 1600.  Arianna Johnson finished in a tie for 6th in the girls high jump. Drew Ellis was sixth in the boys shot put.

Other top six finishes for Mullen included Cayden Hampton third in the 300 meter hurdles and fifth in the boys 110 meter hurdles.  Alex Werner placed fifth in the boys 400.  Jenna Donohoe placed sixth in the girls 300 meter hurdles.

South Loup was among the teams that competed at the Hi-Line track invite on Thursday.  Alma won both the girls and boys team titles.  South Loup finished fourth in both the girls and boys team standings.  Among the individual highlights for the Bobcats,  Evalynn Wonch won the girls discus with a winning effort of 108’9″.  Elijah Cool won the boys 1600 meter run with a winning time of 4:55.43.  South Loup placed first in the girls 4×100 meter relay.  The team of Asa Starr, Rae Hagler, Erin Fitzgerald, and Olivia Fitzgerald posted a winning time of 52.82 seconds.  Erin Fitzgerald was runner up in both the girls 200 and 400.  South Loup placed second in both the boys and girls 3200 meter relays.  Others who medaled in the top six for South Loup included Noah Anderson third in the boys shot put.  Olivia Fitzgerald was third in the girls 100 and fifth in the 200.  Rae Hagler 4th in the girls 300 meter hurdles.  Dylan Pandorf placed 4th in both the boys long jump and 300 meter hurdles.  Emma Stallbaumer was 4th in the girls discus and 5th in the girls shot put.  South Loup placed two in the top six of the boys 3200 meter run with Josiah Coleman placing fourth and Walter Bierman was sixth.  Bierman would also place sixth in the 800.  Braxton Cozad was fifth in the boys 100.  Delanie Weinman was sixth in the girls 800.  Hudson Vickers placed fifth in the boys high jump and sixth in the boys 110 meter hurdles. Jaden Baker placed 6th in the boys 1600.  South Loup placed fifth in the both the boys 4×100 and 4×400 meter relays.
