District speech competitions are able to be held between March 14 and 21 across the state. Area competitors get into the heat of the action starting today.
Broken Bow is competing at the B-5 district in Aurora today, along with Adams Central, Aurora, Central City, Hastings, Holdrege, Lexington, and Minden.
In D1 action at Riverside, Anselmo-Merna, Burwell, Loup City, and Sumner-Eddyville-Miller will be competing along with Central Valley, Fullerton, Palmer, and Riverside.
At district competition, six entries advance to the final round of competition. From there, the top three performers in each event qualify for the state contest.
