SWC Basketball Tournament Results – Broken Bow Girls Finish Fourth

Broken Bow faced off against Class C1 top ten ranked Gothenburg in the third place girls consolation game of the Southwest Conference tournament Saturday at North Platte Community College.  Broken Bow knocked down two 3’s early to take a 6-0 lead but Gothenburg responded to lead 15-8 after the first quarter.  Gothenburg extended the lead to 35-21 at the half and was able to hold off Broken Bow in the second half on their way to a 61-44 win.  Broken Bow was led by Charlee Myers who scored a team high 11 points.  Gothenburg was led by Zoe Beveridge who finished with a game high 17.  Broken Bow returns home on Tuesday to face Lexington in a girls and boys doubleheader.  The game will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
