South Loup Wrestling Invite Results – Burwell Wins Team Championship

South Loup hosted its wrestling invitational on Friday.  Burwell was the team champion with 156.5 points.  It was a tight team race with Plainview finishing second with 152.5 points and Elm Creek was third with 152 points.  Brody Jensen and Kason Larson won individual titles for Burwell at 132 and 190 lbs. respectively.  The Longhorns received runner-up finishes from Tate Ferris at 113, Drew Dawe at 138, Preston Krause at 175, and Owen Stevensen at 215 lbs.

Mullen finished fifth in the team standings with 91 points.  Jason Kraus and Tate Kvanvig were individual champions for the Broncos.  Kraus was champion at 157 lbs. and Kvanvig was champion at 215.

Twin Loup finished seventh in the team standings with 80 points.  Twin Loup’s Cazen Smith was runner up to Mullen’s Jason Kraus at 157 lbs. and Oran Grint was runner up at 165 lbs.

Other area highlights included Paxton Bierman of South Loup champion at 175 lbs. and Tucker Myers of Sandhills Valley was runner up at 150 lbs.
