Celebrations of the Christmas Season are under way, and Callaway and Arnold are getting their parties started December 3.
Shopping and activities throughout the day are on the schedule as the Arnold Chamber gets the holidays rolling on Wednesday. Gnome for the Holidays is the theme for this year’s celebration, including a visit by that jolly old gnome himself – Santa Clause.
Arnold businesses will be having specials and sales throughout the day, and vendors will set up starting at 4:00 PM in the downtown area.
Main Street from 4:00 to 7:00 PM will feature concessions, a photo booth, hayrack rides, a number of kids games and a Christmas Tree decorating contest.
Callaway’s Old Fashioned Christmas starts with a Craft and Home-based Business Show at the Callaway Community Center from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the Sons of the American Legion hosting a Soup Supper starting at 5:00.
Santa arrives at the Callaway Mini Park next to the library at 4:30 PM. While waiting to visit St. Nick, s’mores will be available sponsored by Senior Life Solutions, with Hot Chocolate provided by the South Loup Youth Wrestling Club.
Stores around Callaway will have open houses and promotions, giveaways and more throughout the evening.
The Chambers of Callaway and Arnold remind everyone to celebrate local and shop local, and hope to see you at their holiday celebrations on December 3.
