Soup and Sandwiches Supporting Gifts for Custer County Kids – 20th Santa Cop Lunch November 9

The Broken Bow Knights of Columbus will host their 20th annual Santa Cop Lunch on Sunday, November 9 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Parish Center in Broken Bow.

Homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts will be served for a free will offering supporting the Santa Cop project.

Santa Cop is a community project which brings holiday gifts to Custer County kids in need. Last year, 262 children received gifts through the Broken Bow Santa Cop project, the most families served in the history of the program locally.

Those who want to support the Santa Cop project should plan to arrive early however. Often the soup runs out before the hungry and generous area residents do.

Sponsors for the Santa Cop Lunch include the Knights of Columbus, Custer County Salvation Army, Grocery Kart, Thrivent Financial, Custer County Sheriff’s Office, Broken Bow Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol.

Volunteers are always welcome for the Santa Cop project as well. This year, extra help may be needed to help wrap presents.
