Family and friends gathered Monday Evening at the Luxury Building on the square in Broken Bow for the official opening of the Anointed Beauty Salon, a new tenant in the multi-unit commercial space. The ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce.
Salon owner and stylist Christina Salinas told the crowd gathered that she “created the salon as a safe haven for people that believed in Christ, that are able to come in, get services, and also feel love and kindness and respect and just be able to get some good services.”
Salinas is prepared to provide a wide range of services from women’s cut, style, and color, to men’s hair cuts – including beards. Upcoming services include waxing and facials as well. Currently open in the afternoon and evenings, appointments can be made through Salinas’ Salon Facebook page or by calling 308-850-7246. Walk-in hours will be posted to the Salon’s Facebook page as well.

Custer County’s representative to the Nebraska Unicameral, Senator Tanya Storer was on hand for the ribbon cutting as well.
Storer extended her congratulations to Salinas, saying, “I am always excited when we see new families move back to our rural communities and establish a business and just choose to raise their family and make a life here.”
Anointed Beauty Salon joins a modern video game arcade managed by Jarae and Jadevyn Harbour. The arcade features multiple projectors running separate video game consoles, providing a space for youth to gather and play their favorite games together. The arcade is open from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.

Asked about providing a space for multiple small businesses, building owner Larry Harbour told KCNI/KBBN, “When I first moved over from Omaha, I wanted to get a business started. When you don’t know anyone, it’s kind of hard to get going. So I tried to make it my mission to, when I renovated this building, to be able to set up at least one or two businesses in here to kind of collaborate. And it worked out where we were able to modify four. So having this building set up to where it would be kind of a one-stop shop for different services would be very nice.”
At least two spaces are still available to rent. Interested potential tenants can contact Harbour at Luxury Advertisements by calling 402-230-7754.
