Bethany Miller of Elgin is the winner of the 2025 North Platte Community College raffle car – a 1970 GMC C10 pickup. The truck was handed over to Miller at the Broken Bow Campus of MPCC on Thursday afternoon, October 16.

North Platte Community College First Year Auto Instructor Bryan Herrick told KCNI/KBBN that the vehicle was the 20th to be rebuilt and raffled off. The GMC underwent a full, frame-off re-build, features a drivetrain based on a 2006 GMC Yukon and a 1998 era step-side box. Herrick noted the vehicle was rebuilt in large part by NPCC students Rory Zsitkovsky and Nathan Topinka.

Miller’s ticket was purchased at the Nebraska State Fair, one of 5,238 raffle tickets sold in total this year.

After taking a couple of hot laps in front of the MPCC Campus, Miller returned to the parking lot grinning.

“I feel like a kid in a candy store!” she exclaimed.

Brandon and Bethany Miller of Elgin, Nebr., receive the keys to a 1970 GMC C10 from MPCC Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jody Tomanek.
