Area athletes will look to qualify for the state cross country championships this week as they compete at districts. District meets in classes A and C take place today (10/15) with meets in classes B and D scheduled for tomorrow (10/16). The top three teams in team scoring in each district will qualify for the NSAA State Championships and the first fifteen runners to finish, whether part of a team or running as an individual, will qualify for state.
Broken Bow, Gothenburg, and Cozad will be among the teams competing at the C-5 district meet today at Crandall Creek golf course in Ogallala.
Burwell, Sandhills/Thedford, and Twin Loup will be among the teams competing at the D-3 district at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course Thursday.
Ansley/Litchfield, Arcadia/Loup City, South Loup, and SEM will compete at the D-5 district at Cross Creek Golf Links in Cambridge.
Mullen and Sandhills Valley will be among the teams competing at the D-6 district at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Grant.
The 2025 NSAA state cross country championships are scheduled for October 24th at the Kearney Country Club.
