Area Athletes to Compete at District Cross Country

Area athletes will look to qualify for the state cross country championships this week as they compete at districts. District meets in classes A and C take place today (10/15) with meets in classes B and D scheduled for tomorrow (10/16). The top three teams in team scoring in each district will qualify for the NSAA State Championships and the first fifteen runners to finish, whether part of a team or running as an individual, will qualify for state.

Broken Bow, Gothenburg, and Cozad will be among the teams competing at the C-5 district meet today at Crandall Creek golf course in Ogallala.

Burwell, Sandhills/Thedford, and Twin Loup will be among the teams competing at the D-3 district at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course Thursday.
Ansley/Litchfield, Arcadia/Loup City, South Loup, and SEM will compete at the D-5 district at Cross Creek Golf Links in Cambridge.
Mullen and Sandhills Valley will be among the teams competing at the D-6 district at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Grant.

The 2025 NSAA state cross country championships are scheduled for October 24th at the Kearney Country Club.
