Crossroads Mission Avenue is partnering with Food Bank for the Heartlands to provide a Mobile Food Pantry in Broken Bow.
The Food Pantry will be available at the Custer County Fairgrounds in Broken Bow on Saturday, October 11, starting at 9:00 AM, providing fresh and shelf-stable food until supplies have been exhausted. There are no requirements and no cost to obtain food from the Mobile Food Pantry – all are welcome.
Crossroads Mission Avenue was established in 1983 with a vision to serve the hungry and needy. The goals of Crossroads Mission Avenue include providing food, shelter, clothing, and physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and vocational support to the homeless, as well as providing indigent services for those who are needy.
Food Bank for the Heartland works with more than 500 Network Partners, including pantries, schools, churches, emergency shelters, and other non-profit organizations to supply emergency and supplemental food to children, families, seniors, and veterans in need. In FY 2024, Food Bank for the Heartland distributed 24.9 million meals across its service area.
Crossroads Mission Avenue notes that volunteers are always appreciated. Individuals seeking to help with the Mobile Food Pantry or other activities can sign up on Crossroads’ volunteer app, or call 402-834-2435 with questions.
