The Loup Valley Chapter of Hunters for Youth will be celebrating their 10th anniversary at this year’s annual banquet. The banquet takes place Saturday, September 27 at Broken Bow’s One Box Convention Center.
Founded in 2015, Hunters for Youth is a non-profit mentor-led organization that aims to empower young people through a safe and nurturing environment. Hunters for youth works to teach boys and girls from all backgrounds valuable life skills such as fishing, hunting, and camping. New volunteers and ideas for outdoor events are always welcome. Interest is growing in the organization, with new volunteers coming on board from across Nebraska
Banquet Doors open at 4:00 PM, with Dinner at 6:00. The evening will feature a number of activities, including drawings and games with a number of firearms in play. A silent auction will end at 6:30 and live auction will start at 7:00 PM.
Promoting youth outdoor sporting is the focus of Hunters for Youth, and all members of the family are encouraged to attend Saturday’s banquet. Games, activities, and opportunities for prizes are available for kids in attendance as well. One bingo player will win a BB Gun. Corn hole and plinko players will receive tickets that can be used in drawings for a number of fun prizes.
Tickets to the banquet are $45 for a single ticket, or $80 for a pair. Youth tickets are $20; youth under 15 are free with a paid adult ticket.
Package gun table tickets are available at $1,000 and $1,500 each, and include meals for 8, recognition at the banquet and a choice of firearm at a reserved table, among other benefits. Attendees are reminded to bring their concealed carry or firearm purchase permits if they plan to acquire a gun during the evening.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or up to the time of the banquet.
