Center for Rural Affairs holding webinar for beginning farmers, landowners

The Center for Rural Affairs is hosting a free online webinar tomorrow (September 30) from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, focused on land access and resources for beginning farmers and landowners.

The event, Land Access and Beginning Farmers: Tools and Resources, will highlight opportunities to help new farmers get started and connect with landowners. Participants will learn about the Beginning Farmer Center at Iowa State University, the new land listing page through Practical Farmers of Iowa, and the Conservation Reserve Program-Transition Incentive Program administered by the US Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency.

Organizers say the session will provide practical tools and connections for those interested in supporting the next generation of farmers.
