The Buffalo County Sheriff’s office is asking for public assistance in locating a missing youth.
Sixteen-year old Derek Helman was last seen in Gibbon on Wednesday morning, September 17. Helman is described as 5’7”, 130 lbs, with red hair and blue eyes. He may have been carrying a grey camouflage backpack when he was last seen.
