Melham President Kyle Kellum spoke to KCNI/KBBN about how the Healthcare on the Square event plays into to the hospital’s mission.

“It’s a very important part of what we do,” said Kellum, “offering the community these kinds of services. We’re in the business of health care, and oftentimes people think that you use it when you’re sick or when you absolutely need it. Our biggest job is to try to keep you out of the hospital. So offering these kinds of educations, these kinds of events, the blood draw, is just another avenue to allow folks to stay on top of their health.”

CPR and Stop the Bleed training will be available to the public, alongside blood pressure checks, and activities and booths covering numerous other educational topics.
