BROKEN BOW — A train came to a halt across all railroad crossings in Broken Bow after impacting a pickup pulling a swather across the tracks not long into the 5 PM hour Wednesday evening.
KCNI/KBBN observed a white Chevrolet Silverado with damage to its bed sitting on the south side of the railroad crossing near the Highway 2/Highway 70/ Custer County Fairgrounds area, separated some 10 yards from the swather it was pulling. The implement was also on the south side of the tracks. Damage to both the truck and swather did not appear to be the result of a large direct impact from the train.
No injuries are being reported as a result of the accident.
The train resumed moving before 6 PM and all crossings in Broken Bow returned to normal function.
We will update this story when/if more information is made available.
