WOOD RIVER, Neb. – The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man who was hit by a train in Wood River on Sunday morning.
According to a news release from the office, deputies responded to the area of 9th Street and Railroad street just after 10 AM on Sunday in reference to a train versus pedestrian fatality.
After arriving, deputies located a deceased adult male who as of Monday morning has not been positively identified.
An abandoned vehicle with out-of-state plates was found nearby and is believed to belong to the victim.
