The Broken Bow City Council meeting will take place tonight starting at 6 PM at the Broken Bow Municipal Building on South 10th Avenue. The meeting was moved to Wednesday during the May 27 meeting due to the building being occupied on Tuesday.
The consent agenda for tonight’s meeting includes the approval of two fireworks applications for the city. A City Administrator update will also be given before new business items are conducted.
First, Council will have consideration of deeming the Spirit of the Sandhills Summer Shootout USA Softball Tournament as a special city event. The tournament takes place the 20th through the 22nd.
The stretch of South D Street from South 9th to South 8th Avenue (the north side of the square) will be considered for closing on June 23 from 4 to 7 PM for the Broken Bow Ambulance Service’s drive-thru burger fundraiser.
The final ‘new business’ item on the city council agenda tonight is consideration of authorizing the sale of a surplus air compressor to Nebraska City Utilities for a total of $9,000.
