NWS shares rainfall totals from Monday night, Tuesday morning storms

The National Weather Service (NWS) office in North Platte has released rainfall reports from the storms that came across the area Monday night through Tuesday morning.

Rainfall reports are as of Tuesday morning (June 3) at 7 AM. Much of the area continued to receive additional rainfall after the cut off time approaching noon Tuesday.

The Gates area took the crown with the highest rainfall total at 5.30″, followed by Wellfleet with 4.54″ and Weissert with 4″ even. A total of 3.91″ was measured by North Platte 10 miles to the south, with 8 miles Northeast of Merna closely behind at 3.90″ to round out the top five.
